Which channels does tunaa support?
Telegram, WhatsApp Business API, Instagram DMs, and your website via the embeddable widget. Telegram is the fastest to connect. WhatsApp requires Meta API approval. Instagram requires a Facebook Business account. The website widget works on any website with two lines of code.
Can the same bot run on multiple channels?
Yes. One knowledge base powers all channels. A customer messaging on Telegram and a visitor chatting through your website widget both get answers from the same source. You manage everything from one dashboard.
What is the website widget?
It's a chat button that appears in the corner of your website. Visitors click it, fill in their name and phone, and start chatting with your AI agent directly from your site. Sessions are real-time via WebSocket — messages appear instantly. You embed it by pasting two lines of code before the closing </body> tag.
Does WhatsApp really require API approval? How long does it take?
Yes — to send messages programmatically on WhatsApp, businesses need access to the WhatsApp Business API through Meta. This requires a verified Facebook Business Manager account. Approval typically takes 24–72 hours for businesses with existing verification, longer for new accounts. Telegram has no such requirement, which is why we recommend starting there.
Can customers initiate conversations, or do they have to come to me?
On Telegram and WhatsApp, customers message your bot link directly — you share the link and they tap to start a conversation. On the website widget, visitors open the chat from your site. On Instagram, customers DM your account. In all cases, the customer initiates — this is a requirement of all messaging platforms to prevent spam.
